Where Time Stands Still:
Our Setting
Welcome to Incanto del Lago, a retreat suspended between the deep blue of Lake Como and the lush green of the Como pre-Alps. Staying here means not only choosing a destination, but immersing yourself in a landscape that has enchanted poets, travelers, and dreamers for centuries.
Faggeto Lario: The Authentic Pearl
Located on the eastern shore of the Como branch, Faggeto Lario is a scattered municipality that preserves the charm of the past intact. Far from the busiest tourist flows, it is the ideal choice for those seeking the true soul of the lake.
The municipality is divided into four hamlets: Riva, which touches the water with its picturesque lido, and the three hillside hamlets — Molina, Lemna and Palanzo — where ancient stone houses and mills tell stories of rural life and centuries-old traditions.
Not to be missed: In Palanzo you will find the famous monumental 16th-century wine press, a jewel of rural engineering that testifies to the deep bond between man and this generous land.
Molina: The Village of Stone and Water
Perched in a panoramic position overlooking Lake Como, the hamlet of Molina is an authentic jewel of rural architecture. Strolling through its narrow alleys means taking a journey back in time: here Moltrasio stone shapes every façade, stairway, and doorway, creating perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. The village is famous for its characteristic Romanesque bell tower that rises above the slate roofs and for its numerous historic fountains, once the beating heart of social life. Molina is also the ideal starting point for trekking enthusiasts: from here, trails wind toward the beech woods or descend to the lake, offering unique photographic views where the blue of the water is set among the ancient walls of the village.
